Basic setup is straightforward for anyone comfortable with a Windows PC and network configuration. Our cards use HF (High Frequency) RFID chips with copper trace antennas embedded in standard-feel acetate playing cards. They are indistinguishable from regular cards at the table. Read range is limited to 8–10cm by design for security, and a full deck cannot be read at once — only the cards presented at the reader position.

Yes, RFID cards are reusable. The RFID chip itself has an essentially unlimited lifespan — there are no batteries or moving parts. Card lifespan is determined by physical wear, same as any playing card in a casino environment. We recommend replacing cards on the same schedule you would for any production deck.

Yes. Our platform supports manual card entry and action input without RFID hardware. RFID automates the process, but the platform is fully functional with manual operation for productions that don't require real-time card detection.

Security is enforced at multiple layers. The read range is physically limited to 8–10cm, so cards must be at the reader to be detected. Our enforced broadcast-delay model means hole card data is never converted to visible graphics until the security delay period has passed — the production crew never sees cards before the audience. Access control is tiered and enforced server-side.

We support all major broadcast capture cards including Blackmagic DeckLink, AJA, and others. SDI and HDMI ingest and output. Video inputs also support NDI, RTMP, RTSP, USB webcams, and screen capture — with no artificial cap on the number of simultaneous sources.
